Shaw Services started in 2004 and has been proudly serving Northern Virginia ever since.

When Don Shaw moved here at the age of 21, he immediately fell in love with the area. It was thriving, exciting, and full of growth and change.

It still is! Not only that, but Northern Virginia has the full four seasons – hot summers, cold winters and don’t get us started on the picturesque fall foliage — making it a place well-suited to HVAC, an industry Don fell into at the beginning of his working career and hasn’t left since.

Though he’d worked in HVAC his entire adult life, Don was a bit of a late bloomer in starting his own company, doing so at the age of 40. There were a few reasons for that. Not only did Don want to create a Virginia HVAC Services family business his sons could grow into, but after all those years working for larger companies, he wanted to be able to have control over the customer experience from that initial call through the install.

Those who have worked with us know that Don is a perfectionist when it comes to installations and customer experience. It’s a point of pride that our installations are top-notch, and that the quality of our end product is hard to beat. It’s part of a reason the Shaw family all works together the way we do: We know what Don and our customers expect from the end product!

The quality of our work is also underpinned by the quality of our customer relationships. At Shaw Services, business isn’t just business – it’s personal. We always treat people the way we’d expect to be treated in our own homes. We respond to calls quickly, show up on time, dress the part, and leave our job sites immaculate when we’re done.

Our goal is to make our customers our friends, and given that we’ve been working with some of our customers for over fifteen years, we think we do a pretty good job of it. We try to look out for our customers and give them the advice we’d give ourselves – we only want you to make big HVAC decisions when you need it, not when we need it.

There’s nothing like the satisfaction that comes with showing up to someone’s house on a 100-degree day and being able to make everything right.
